I took my better half here for his a night out and we were certainly not disappointed. Having been to Italy on several occasions we have often been disappointed by other restaurants' poor imitations. However Il Pirata have the relaxed atmosphere spot on as you only order what you want, when you want it: none of this ordering everything at once and having it wait under heat lamps! Great staff and obviously popular be sure to book in advance.

Had a fabulous meal in Il Pirata. My husband went for the Duck Egg Yolk Pappardelle with Asparagus and Truffle Oil (which resulted in serious food envy on my part!!) and I had some tapas - Mushrooms with Pesto & Parmesan, Whitebait and a Spiced Pork Slider. Everything was just delicious. Had a lovely bottle of prosecco and finished up with Mojitos. Great atmosphere, service and food - we'll be back next time we're in Belfast!

Had the most delicious polenta chips I have ever tasted and the house red was to die for! Can't wait to go back here- maybe for tapas after work!
