Dined here and had the Early Bird Menu (I think before 7pm)- great food and great value! Had a beautiful Risotto and Fish and Chips for main- a gorgeous light batter! The only reason I didn't give 5 out of 5 for the Atmosphere was because it was quiet due to it being early in the evening. I would really recommend the early bird menu- wonderful food at a great price in beautiful surroundings! Will be back time and time again!

Very disappointing evening out at Deane's Deli last week. Lovely atmosphere, looks great, but food was distinctly lacklustre. Shown to our seat by the Front of House person who gave us menus but didn't offer to take a drink order. Sat a good 10 minutes waiting for a waitress to take one. Food came and was pretty boring for a Deane's restaurant: tasteless risotta starter, equally bland tagliatelle main, pretty ordinary fish and chips. We had also ordered a chicken dish and there was a delay on this but that was handled really well - snacks of chips and meatballs were brought while we waited (these were yum, wish we had ordered them!). When the chicken did come, it wasn't worth waiting for: 2 golfball-size pieces of chicken, 2 small baby potatoes and a piece of spinach for £14. VERY disappointing overall. Had been to DD before some time before and also had very poor service so sadly I don't think we'll be back. Complained via twitter and the manager rang and was very apologetic but absolutely no offer of anything to make up for it, other than to let him know next time we were in and we would be 'well looked after'. I don't want to have to let you know I've booked so that you can look after me; that should be done automatically. I'm wondering if Deane is starting to trade on his name alone .... come back Paul Rankin and Cayenne ...

One of the best restaurants in Belfast. Lively (with live music that's not overpowering) and a great selection of food from across the spectrum. A buzzy place for an evening out with friends or an intimate evening. The staff are very friendly. I loved the place. Good for both lunch and dinner.
